Semester fee information for UNIS students
All UNIS students must be registered at a Norwegian university.
- Students coming to UNIS from an international institution who are not affiliated with a Norwegian university are automatically registered at the University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway, and will receive a semester fee invoice from the UNIS Study Administration shortly after arrival.
- International students attending UNIS as exchange students through a Norwegian university are exempt from paying the semester fee.
- Students enrolled in a degree program at a Norwegian university must register for the correct courses and pay the semester fee as usual at their home university.
Please pay the semester fee as soon as possible. The fee must be paid in order for you to sit your exam(s) and receive a transcript of records from UiT.
You may notice that the invoice mentions registrering for the semester and completing an individual study planat UiT. You do not nedd to take any action on this, it is already handled by UNIS and UiT.
How to pay the semester fee
- Use the Costumer identification number (“KID-nummer” in Norwegian) found in the lower left corner of the invoice.
- If paying from a Norwegian bank account, your payment will be automatically registered at UiT when you use the Customer identification number.
- If paying from an international bank, please include the “Invoice #:” in your payment details. Due to additional banking fees, please add 5 EUR to your payment.
