PhD project (2015-2019):
My study investigates behavioural responses and life history evolution of migratory birds breeding in the extreme seasonality of the high Arctic. The central aspect of my research is in sex-specific adaptations regarding migration timing, breeding system and breeding synchronicity. The model species is the migratory Common eider. Apart of empirical methods I use theoretical models to test hypotheses on life-history evolution of migratory birds.
