The meeting is an important arena to strengthen the collaboration between UNIS and the mainland universities. Among other subjects, the meeting discusses the future course portfolio and increased student production at UNIS.

The mainland universities and university college are eager to have more of their students come to UNIS for a semester or shorter course periods, and presented study areas of potential growth in this regard.

The University of Oslo has high ambitions: Morten Dæhlen, Dean at the Faculty of Mathematics and Life Sciences, stated that the university aims towards producing around 50 student man-years at UNIS by 2022, in contrast to today’s 10–12 student man-years.
