Last week, UNIS and BioCEED was granted funding of 4.7 million NOK to the project “Development, testing and evaluation of tools and assessment forms to enhance constructive alignment in field teaching”.

After a comprehensive mid-term evaluation, NOKUT (the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education) has decided that CEMPE, bioCEED and MatRIC can continue as a Centres of Excellence in Education.

Today it was announced that bioCEED – Centre for excellence in biology education, is one of three centres getting funding from the Research Council of Norway. The centre is led by the department of biology at the University of Bergen, in collaboration with the department of Arctic Biology at UNIS, department of Education (UiB) and the Institute of Marine Research.
