Gruvefjellet meteorological station 18. May 2002. The station is located at 460 m asl. Due to strong winds and the risk of polar bears, the setup is very robust. In addition, most sensors are mounted 3 m above the terrain surface (rather than at 2 m standard), which ensures that they are beyond the reach of polar bears.
