Safety at UNIS: Main goals

"UNIS shall conduct all activities with safety for the participants as the first priority. UNIS will provide logistics, training and procedures that make the institution a leader in undertaking safe fieldwork in the Arctic".

Safety Instructions

Below you will find Pdf versions of safety instructions in different languages produced by UNIS and the Governor of Svalbard ("Sysselmannen").

The UNIS Safety folder give a brief introduction to safety issues you have to keep in mind during your stay in Svalbard, as does the brochures produced by the Governor. Please read through this information before you come to Svalbard.
