How to apply

You apply for studies at UNIS online or by filling out a paper form.

Applying online
An e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address, with further information about the application process. After you have registered on the web, you will have to download the application receipt and submit this to UNIS. The application will not be considered confirmed until the application receipt has been received.

All documentation of previous education and recommendations, confirming the relevance of the courses, must be official copies in English or Norwegian and submitted electronically or by postal mail. Missing papers will not be actively solicited!

Remember:

  • Application forms MUST be filled out completely

  • Application receipt must be submitted to confirm the application

  • Transcripts of relevant education must be submitted

  • Recommendation letters must be enclosed (only for graduate courses)

Applying by paper form
You can also apply on a paper form, however, we strongly urge applicants to use the online application. If you'd rather apply by paper, you will find the appropriate form below.

Application deadlines

Autumn semester: April 15th
Spring semester: October 15th

Some graduate courses may have extended deadlines.

Please contact the Study Administration for enrolment after the official application deadline: Studadm@unis.no or +47 79 02 33 00.

The admission procedure
UNIS will notify all applicants about the status of their application (accepted, on waiting lists or declined) about 4-6 weeks after the application deadline.

Applicants who have been accepted must confirm their intention to study at UNIS within the deadline given in the acceptance letter. No response within this deadline means that the student has not accepted the offer. The acceptance is then offered to the student next on the waiting list. Students on the waiting list should be prepared to accept a sudden offer.

Remember to give us your cell phone number and e-mail address.
